Glorious Moment

Hello friends! Today I am sharing this layout at Just Nick Digital Cut Files of my daughter and her passion for flowers and gardening.

I began the layout by using the Posie Swag Cut File and cutting it on white card stock with my Silhouette Cameo and then hand stitched the flowers with pink embroidery floss and also the leaves and stems with green embroidery floss. Yes , there is a LOT of hand stitching on this layout, but I find it incredibly fun and relaxing.

The background paper is a 12 X 12 piece of white textured card stock that I applied white gesso and let it dry. I added a coat of light pink water color paint applied with a water brush. I placed the Posie Swag Cut File that was hand stitched and painted with Gelatos and a water brush on top of the background paper.

I added a photo that was matted with some patterned paper and machine stitched the background white cardstock with a sewing machine onto a piece of Bella Blvd. floral patterned paper to give it a border. A few paint splatters with some Heidi Swapp Colorshine in Navy and some enamel dots from Pinkfresh Studio were added. The title was a die cut that I popped up with some dimensional foam squares and a sticker that I added an arrow sticker and a charm. Finally I took a black fine line pen and added my journaling.

My daughter loves flowers and loves to garden so I thought this cut file was perfect for this layout.

Donut Worry Be Happy

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing this layout of my son and a whole lot of donuts over at A Flair For Buttons.

I really love how flair is a great little addition to the circle element of this layout. I used a flair button from the Inspirational Words 5 flair set and the heart flair button from the Woodgrain 3 flair set.

The donut die cuts were a free cut file that Kim Watson designed for the Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine Spring 2017 issue on Page 24. When I saw the cut file I was excited to cut it out on my Silhouette Cameo.

I used lots of scraps of various collections of Bella Blvd. papers and paper and stickers from the new Doodlebug Designs Cream And Sugar Collection.

The title was actually a die cut sticker that I popped up with some dimensional adhesive squares.

Handwritten journaling was added with a fine black felt pen to give it more of a personal feel to the page.

Paint splatters from the Navy Colorshine Mist by Heidi Swapp were added to complete the page.

Below are the flair sets I used for my layout:

Enjoy The Moment

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a layout that I created with some cut files from Just Nick Digital Cut Files.  Yesterday was National Sibling Day and I thought of my older kiddos and how Brandon and Shannon have always been very close.

For my bold, black title, I cut out the Enjoy The Moment cut file five times on black card stock with my Silhouette Cameo, stacked them and glued them together.

With my well used 1 1/2 inch circle paper punch, I punched out several circles of various patterned papers. I love circles! This particular technique was inspired by a class that Nicole Nowosad taught at Crop & Create Calgary, which I was fortunate to attend and had the privilege to assist in her classes. It's always great to meet online friends in person!

I also used the File Folders cut file to create a tab for the top left hand corner of the page and also one behind the large felt flower. These are also from the Just Nick shop.

This is the dimension I was mentioning on the title earlier.

I had fun creating this layout. It was good to use up some scraps of old papers from the Amy Tangerine Rise And Shine Collection, my cute pink We R Typecast Typewriter to add the typed journaling and whenever I can, I like to add a flair button or two to my layouts from A Flair For Buttons.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
